This project is really close to my heart and I don't know why it took such a long time to finally build the case for it. I've been with Kesurapan for six years now and it's a privilege to be able to not only shape a group's musical output, but also to define the visual aesthetic. As with the previous release of the band, the Blind Worship EP, I made nearly every asset, from the cover to social media posts, youtube visualizers and so on, by myself, and I couldn't get more pleasure out of it.
This time we wanted to take it a step further, break free from the illustrative style of its predecessor, and enter a shrouded and peculiar world, hazy uncertainty being hit by harsh lights and hard shapes. Just like the feeling we want to evoke with our music, we wanted the whole art style around the release to be mysterious, dangerous and aggressive, like the looming realization of uncomfortable truths. Tools used were Cinema 4D, Redshift Render, After Effects and the rest of the Adobe Cloud.
And all the while this band is my most revered personal project, the people involved are not only great musicians, but also among my dearest friends. So pouring my heart into the aesthetics of our own personal project is the least I can do.
